Computer Science Education Research Conference
(CSERC '11)
7 - 8 April 2011
Heerlen, the Netherlands

Over the years, it has become clear that there is a need for more fundamental knowledge about and input into computer science education. To contribute to this, an international scientific conference will be organised, creating a platform for researchers in the field of computer science education. The conference is organised in cooperation with ACM SIGCSE.
Contributions at the scientific conference will be solicited from all over the world. Submissions will be peer-reviewed. The proceedings will be published in the ACM Digital library.

Themes

Themes of the conference will be:

Collocation with NIOC2011

CSERC '11 will be organised collocated with the NIOC 2011 conference. Although CSERC is organised separately, people attending either one, may freely visit the other. The two conferences take place at the same time, at the same locations.
NIOC is a Dutch, easily accessible conference for computer science teachers, working at high schools, at universities, or in industry. Every two years NIOC is organised in a different city in the Netherlands. NIOC is attended by up to 300 participants.

Organisation

As the initiative to this conference is developed by the hosting institute, the Conference Chairs have been invited from the Open University of the Netherlands: prof. dr. Gerrit van der Veer, prof. dr. Peter Sloep and prof. dr. Marko van Eekelen.
The Organizing Committee will be chaired by Evert van de Vrie and Mieke Haemers. The organisers cooperate with ACM SIGCSE to develop an International Programme Committee.
